MEXICAN CUISINE AT THE VIENNA BISTROT

Did you know that the Maya were excellent beekeepers, that chocolate is a basic ingredient for both sweet and savoury creations and that corn and rice have made its cuisine one of the most delicious ones in the world? We are talking about Mexico, the 14th largest country in the world with a population of 120 million.

The famous tortillas stuffed with spicy flavours

The Athenaeum InterContinental Athens, true to its rendez-vous with the most famous cuisines of the world, in May it brims with quesadillas and burritos cooked in the traditional comal frying pan and invites you to the Mexican cuisine's hot combinations of flavours. The famous beans, the tomato and of course the corn in many different versions – from nachos to sweet and fresh – carrot, cabbage, hot peppers and coriander, obligatory accompaniments for beef, chicken or pork.

For 6 hours X 1 month the Vienna Bistrot becomes "hot"

For one month from 6 in the evening to midnight the Vienna Bistrot dresses in the colourful atmosphere of Mexico and adjusts its cuisine to the spicy, delicious but also healthy culinary suggestions of the country which made guacamole famous the world over. The cuisine which adjusted even the sushi to its own culinary standard by adding to it a mango, chilli and pepper sauce. Viva Mexico!

On Easter Sunday, from noon until 4 pm, the famous, traditional lamb on an open fire is served along with live music. Kidarte undertakes the care of children to keep their mood cheerful and encourage them into creative actions.
