According to the calendar on Holy Saturday morning the first resurrection takes place whilst at midnight, the touch of the Holy Fire from the Holy Sepulchre defeats death and decay.
On Holy Friday morning and evening, reference is made to what took place on Holy Saturday. At noon, the Service of the Deposition and the Burial is performed. In the evening of the same day the procession of the Epitaph takes place.
On Holy Thursday evening the divine drama is on its peek, with the Service of the Holy Passion and the reference to the Passions, the humiliation, the crown of thorns, the crucifixion and the "death of Christ."
On Holy Wednesday night we celebrate the events of Holy Thursday: The Washing of the feet of the Apostles by Christ, the Last Supper, the Lord's Prayer on the Mount of Olives and the "kiss", the Betrayal of Jesus by Judas.
